Testimonials
[The Master of Information Governance] covered the complexities of information governance and data privacy laws and emphasised the real-world implications of these laws on data privacy. It made me hyper-aware of the need to protect personal information in our increasingly digital existence.
[I am] excited to pursue a career in data privacy and information governance, a field that is becoming increasingly important as more organizations recognize the need for strong data governance and privacy measures. I aspire to be a leader in the field, guiding policy development or heading an information governance department.
The online delivery has allowed me to participate in study towards my Masters, even though I work full time and I live outside Auckland. This is the first programme I've seen that allows this flexibility. The lecturers are accomplished experts, but so approachable and helpful, and the course materials are fantastic. I've been able to apply what I've learnt straight into my "day" job, and my employer is already very pleased with the investment they're making into my study.
My enrolment into the MInfoGov program came at the perfect time to help advance my career. I recently entered a senior leadership position where I am responsible for all aspects of our company's technology systems and processes.
Enrolling in this program has provided me with a delightful amount of confidence and insight into the complex legal requirements and risks that are associated in the use, storage, and security of information. This has allowed me to establish myself as an authority on the subject within my workplace, and I look forward to all the papers that are to come. This program is one of a kind and highly relevant for any professionals who work in the privacy, legal, technology, or organisational governance space. I look forward to working alongside future graduates to advance information governance practices in New Zealand
